This year’s Gender is My Agenda Campaign (GIMAC) centered on extractive activity in the Global South. The plundering of land cannot be separated from the violations on women’s bodies. Energy and mining industries embody how patriarchy and neo-liberal capitalism exploit women and the environment alike.

A just transition cannot coexist with plunder. It must be anchored in feminist justice, inclusivity, and restitution of historical injustice—ensuring clean energy, opportunities for women and girls, and community-owned systems. For SHINE, this is not rhetoric, but a principle of action.
