Women and community members in Hanyanya came together for a legal literacy session on rights and legal issues connected to their community and lithium mining. SHINE partnered with the Bernstein Institute for Human Rights to support the session and create space for community members to discuss the issues affecting them.
The process contributed to the Hanyanya Community Declaration, documenting the community’s positions and demands on land, community rights and the impacts of lithium mining.
